These Puff Pastry Pizza Bites are flaky, cheesy & ready in just 20 minutes, perfect for game day, the Holidays, or just because! If you like pizza, you’ll love these deliciously flaky puff pastry pizza appetizers!
Puff Pastry Pizza Bites
Hey loves!!! Today I bring you this quick & easy Puff Pastry Pizza Bites recipe with mozzarella & pepperoni!
These are basically puff pastry mini pizzas baked in a muffin tin ⏤ so easy to make but SO freakin good!
I used a regular 12 cup muffin tin to make these, mine looks just like this one. Using a 12 cup muffin tin will give you 12 3-inch pizza bites!
But a mini muffin tin like this one will work too! You’ll simply get more pizza bites & they’ll be smaller! 🙂
Let’s get started!
Ingredients for Puff Pastry Pizza Bites
You’ll find the full recipe + ingredients in the recipe card down below but this is what you’re gonna need:
- Puff pastry. Use Gluten-Free puff pastry for GF eaters!
- Tomato sauce.
- Olive oil.
- Garlic.
- Oregano.
- Cayenne pepper. This is optional but I love my pizza sauce spicy spicy!
- Salt.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Pepperoni. I recommend using mini pepperoni slices but thinly sliced kolbasa or sweet Italian sausage will work too!
- Any other toppings you like! I kept these really simple with just mozzarella & pepperoni but feel free to add your favorite toppings!
How to make Puff Pastry Pizza Bites
You’ll find the full recipe + ingredients in the recipe card down below but this is what to expect:
- Spray your muffin tin with your favorite non-stick spray or grease it with canola or sunflower oil.
- Pour the tomato sauce into a small bowl, then add in the olive oil, garlic, oregano, cayenne pepper (optional) & salt to taste. Mix until combined: boom, that’s your marinara sauce!
- Cut your puff pastry sheet into squares. I cut mine into 12 3-inch squares (more or less). You don’t have to be ultra precise when cutting it, just make sure you’ll have enough squares to fit your muffin tin! I like using a pizza cutter to cut my puff pastry but a knife will work too.
- Press a square into each muffin cup.
- Spoon a bit of tomato sauce into each well. You should have enough to cover the bottom, I don’t recommend adding more than that because it may bubble up too much in the oven.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Add a few pepperoni slices to each pizza bite & top with more cheese (optional).
- Bake until golden & flaky! Use a butter knife to gently unmold your pizza bites & serve immediately! I like serving these with extra marinara sauce for dipping!
