Instructions
Prep all the toppings. Slice the tomato, onion, and wash and dry the salad.
Make the burger sauce. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, and cajun seasoning. Mix until combined and set aside.
Toast the buns. Slice the buns (preferably leaving the top part bigger than the bottom for a nicer look). In a medium skillet over medium heat, add the butter and allow to sizzle. Once the butter is sizzling, add the toasted buns soft side down and allow to toast until golden and crispy (1-2 minutes). Once toasted, remove from the pan and set aside.

Make the turkey patties. Skip this if using store-bought patties. In a medium bowl, add the ground turkey, egg, salt, pepper, and cajun and mix until combined. Divide into 4 equal parts and flatten into patties.
Cook the patties. In a medium skillet over medium heat, add the butter and allow to sizzle. Once the butter is sizzling, add the patties and cook until browned on both sides (3-5 minutes). Meanwhile, make the hot honey. If using store-bought patties you can still season them with cajun seasoning when cooking them (unless they come pre-seasoned). Once they’re done cooking, top them with a slice of cheese each, turn off the heat and cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.
Make the hot honey. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, mix in the honey, cayenne pepper, paprika, chili powder, and salt. Taste and adjust, if desired. Turn off the heat and cover to keep warm as the butter can solidify quickly if your kitchen is cold.
Assemble the cheeseburgers. Spread the bottom layer of each bun with the prepared burger sauce, top with one of the turkey patties, a slice of tomato, onion, lettuce, and more burger sauce, then top with the other half of the bun. Finally, brush or drizzle with the honey sauce and serve immediately!
