This creamy Coleslaw with Sour Cream is crisp, tangy and refreshing! Made with a fun mix of green and purple cabbage, carrots and a homemade sour cream dressing, this is the kind of delicious slaw that actually gets eaten!

    Coleslaw with Sour Cream

We love this Sour Cream Coleslaw as a side for fish dinners (or stuffed in our Salmon Fish Tacos), it’s ready in 5 minutes and isn’t overly rich or sweet like some classic coleslaw recipes.

This Coleslaw with Sour Cream is:

    • Creamy without being heavy like mayo-based coleslaws.
    • Tangy, refreshing and savory, no sugar added.
    • Perfect for tacos, BBQs and sandwiches.
    • Ready in 5 minutes.

    Ingredients for Sour Cream Coleslaw

Cabbage and carrots. I like doing a mix of green + purple cabbage because of the fun colors but you can also just do one of them. You can get a pre-shredded coleslaw mix or make your own from whole veggies, I’ll add the amount for both below!

Cilantro (optional). I like doing some cilantro for more flavor but you can skip it or do dill or parsley!

Sour cream, for the dressing, you can also sub in yogurt, for a lighter dressing!

Mustard, Dijon or yellow mustard, for flavor.

Lime juice (or vinegar), we prefer lime because it’s more fragrant and less sharp but both work!

    Salt and pepper.
